The 24SI has a dual internal fan (DIF) design that provides Maximum Cooling Technology. Dual fans mean greater air circulation over the alternator electronics. That allows the alternator to run at lower temperatures which improves the operating efficiency and durability of the unit. With a single external fan, air is drawn in from the terminal end and passes through the length of the alternator to exit through the fan. The higher operating temperature reduces the unit¿s efficiency and durability.
